We are a small family run firm. We represent all types of clients in a variety of legal scenarios. Our goal is to make

We represent clients in Eastern Massachusetts, as well as the Cape and the Islands.
We specialize in all types of real estate transactions. We represent buyers and sellers by negotiating the purchase and
sale agreement, attending the closing and explain the relevant documents. We represent numerous lenders and
banks, drafting closing documents and conducting the closing.
We have closed all types of loans, including conventional financing, FHA loans, reverse mortgages,
construction loans and commercial loans.
We help clients prepare for the unknown by setting up various forms of estate plans. We provide guidance to help the client determine the best type of estate plan for their needs, whether it be a simple will or a more complicated estate plan.
We help clients through the difficult time of probating estates. We provide guidance through the probate process.
We provide advice to the elderly. We provide Medicaid planning advice, discuss alternative forms of planning, including Medicaid planning, life estates, irrevocable trusts and reverse mortgages.
We also will handle personal injury cases. We have experience in dealing with insurance companies and
experience in the courtroom.”
OUR ATTORNEYS
John J. O’Connor Jr. has been a practicing attorney since 1995. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1973 and New England School of Law in 1995. He was an Editor of the Law Review and a recipient New England School of Law Scholar Award. He is admitted to practice in the courts of Massachusetts, the United States District Court for District of Massachusetts, and the United States Supreme Court. He is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association.
He retired from the U.S. Secret Service in August 1996 having served as a Senior Special Agent for over 22 years. In addition to his extensive protective responsibilities and experiences, he supervised and actively investigated a host of financial crimes to include, counterfeiting, securities fraud, bank fraud and commercial/residential real estate fraud. During his last five years with the Service, he was a member of the Department of Justice New England Financial Crimes Task Force investigating bank fraud. In that capacity, he examined hundreds of commercial and residential real estate transactions ranging from simple condominium loans to multi-million dollar commercial real estate transactions. He has been actively involved in commercial/residential real estate conveyancing since that time.
He also represents buyers and sellers in residential real estate transactions. He has extensive experience as a trial attorney in both civil and criminal matters. He is also actively involved in Estate Planning and is a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys. He is also a member of the National Association of Exclusive Buyers Agents and the Massachusetts Association of Buyers Agents. He is an Associate Broker with Buyer Brokers Only, LLC. He is a guest lecturer for Norfolk County Sheriff Michael Belotti speaking on Financial Crimes and Identity Theft. He has been a volunteer alpine patroller for the National Ski Patrol for the past 27 years and has been actively involved in Judo for over 40 years, most recently as a volunteer instructor with the Phoenix Judo Club in Braintree, MA.
John W. O’Connor has been a practicing attorney since 2008. He graduated in 2003 from Fairfield University where he earned a Varsity letter in Ice Hockey. He is a 2008 graduate of New England School of Law. He is admitted to practice in the Massachusetts courts.
Prior to his admittance to the bar, he worked as a paralegal from 2003 to 2008. His practice focuses on Real Estate conveyancing, Estate Planning, Elder Law, and Probate matters. He has extensive experience in all types of real estate closings and represents Lenders, Buyers and Sellers. He has been a guest lecturer at Reverse Mortgage Seminars and First Time Homebuyer Seminars. He has been an Associate Broker with Buyers Brokers Only, LLC since 2011 and serves the Acton/Maynard/Sudbury area of Massachusetts.
He is a 1998 graduate of the Noble and Greenough School and a 1999 graduate of Phillips Academy Andover. He has been actively involved in youth hockey as a coach and continues to play in the AMHL in Concord. He lives in Maynard with his wife, Callie and his son Colin and daughter Emma.
